The contents of the current issue of the Philippine Geographical Journal still constitute a continuation of those published previously in the January-December 2008 and January-December 2007 issues, all of which represent papers read during the Southeast Asian Geography Association (SEAGA) International Conference. The conference was held in Quezon City, Philippines from June 3 to 6, 2008 and, following its theme of “Transformations and Embodiments in Southeast Asian (and other) Geographies: Changing Environments, People and Cultural Groups, Institutions and Landscapes,” it was conducted to promote the association’s vision of connecting scholars, educators and professionals who are doing research on issues relevant to Southeast Asia’s people and environment
