International Conference Assistance Program

Promotes the participation of Filipino scholars in international social science conferences and the dissemination of their research by subsidizing their conference fees.

PSSC International Conference Assistance Program (ICAP)

The PSSC International Conference Assistance Program (ICAP) provides supplementary financial assistance to individual scholars who belong to the Council’s regular and/or associate member-organizations to enable them to attend (either online or on-site) and present their academic papers in international social science conferences.

This program, formerly known as the Travel Assistance Program (TAP) which was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, is relaunched in 2024 with its new name.

Applicants planning to participate via online connection can apply for ICAP support to fund their conference registration fee. A maximum amount of Php10,000 is made available to each grantee.

Applicants planning to travel to a foreign country where the conference will be held can apply for ICAP support to defray their registration, airfare, and/or accommodation costs. For each grantee, a maximum amount of Php30,000 is made available for travel to the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, while Php20,000 for travel to Asian countries.
