How we can learn fast and teach smart? Remote teaching tips from an eLearning Specialist

On December 11, 2020, the Philippine Social Science Council held its last webinar for the year, How we can learn fast and teach smart? Remote teaching tips from an eLearning Specialist.

Recognizing the difficult position in which educators were placed by the sudden shift to remote learning, resource speaker Dr. Almond Pilar N. Aguila, eLearning specialist and founder of Our eLearning Strategy PH, sought to provide expert advice on remote learning through the principles of 21st century learning, answer questions on how to adjust to the new normal of education, and offer possible solutions to some of the pressing issues surrounding remote learning.

She was also joined by Asst. Prof. Juvy Lizette M. Gervacio of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies at the University of the Philippines – Open University and Asst. Prof. Jon Paul F. Maligalig of the College of Education at the University of the Philippines – Diliman as reactors.

Following the presentations of Dr. Aguila, Prof. Gervacio, and Prof. Maligalig was an open forum, wherein the three panelists addressed a variety of questions ranging from navigating the needs of students and the expectations of school administrators in the time of pandemic to the future of education in a post-pandemic world.
